Mr. Clarence L. Fitts was born March 31, 1957 to the late Walter James Davis, Sr. and Florence Fitts Davis in Selma, Alabama. He departed this life Tuesday February 8, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by family in Selma.
Clarence, affectionately known as “Piggy” had a love for music, art and drawing and spent a lot of his free time sketching. He was considerably fashionable in his younger days and always thought of himself as a “superstar”. He had a giving heart, humble spirit and loved his family and friends dearly.
He confessed Christ at and early age and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. F. D. Reese. Clarence was educated in the Dallas County school system and received his Graduate Equivalent Diploma in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter James Davis, Sr. and Florence Fitts Davis, and one brother Eugene (Buddy) Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories four brothers, Lawrence (Olivia) Fitts of Cleveland, OH, Walter James (Gloria Jean) Davis, Jr. (Selma) who cared for Clarence in their home until his death. Johnny Davis of Inarajan, Guam and Terry L. Davis, Sr. of Austin, TX. Three sisters Florence (Eddie) Dabney of Detroit, MI, Juanita Davis and Geraldine (Robert) Turner both of Selma, Alabama. One uncle Large Wille (Julia) Fitts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives and friends.
