Derrick T Tuck

Derrick Tyrone Tuck was born in Alexander City, Alabama on August 30, 1972 to Ms. Debra Tuck and Mr. Harry Barris. He transitioned to the next life on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Derrick is preceded in death by his grandparents Jessie Tuck, Mae Lindy Barris Goggans, and Mitchell Barris, Sr.

Derrick graduated from Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama. Before his declining health, he worked at Russell Mills and Welborn Cabinets. He spent much of his adult life in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a gentle soul and loved to laugh and have a good time, loved his family, and Alabama football.

His memory will forever be cherished by his parents, Debra and Harry; children, DeJavius Silmon of Alexander City, Alabama, Ebonique Rowe of Phenix City, Alabama, and LaDerrick Tuck of Alexander City; siblings, Andricus Tuck (Latasha) of Alexander City, Alonzo Tuck of Alexander City, Tomeka Barris-McGhee (Tracy) of Alexander City, Dante Moore of Georgia, Latrece Perkins, Beontae Perkins, Belissa Perkins, and Rasheka Perkins of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to thank everyone who supported us through donations, flowers, words of encouragement, and prayers during our time of loss. We solicit your continued prayers as we take this grieving and healing journey. However, our heart does rejoice that he is no longer in pain, and we ask that you join us in his honor by giving a final big Roll Tide!
