Jimmie K Mullis

Jimmie Kraker Mullis passed away peacefully on September 8, 2023 at Bethany Hospice House in Auburn, AL.  It’s hard to even begin telling her story.  She was born February 14, 1948, the oldest daughter of James Vernon Kraker and Faye Harrelson Kraker. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles. 

She is survived by her sister Lin Howland (Greg), her nephews Kenneth Anderson (Jamie), GJ Howland (Taylor), Zack Howland and great nieces Emma, Avery, Everly (Anderson) and Hattie and Briar (Howland), step son Steve Mullis and many cousins. We will miss her so much. She was loved by all of us plus a host of wonderful friends. 

Jim graduated from Robert E Lee Class of 1966 and began her 30 year career with the State of Alabama. Upon retiring from the State, she worked for Verizon and ATT. The last 15 years she worked as a enrollment counselor for CBA/Gallagher Benefit Solutions based in Birmingham.  

She traveled throughout the USA, Europe and Italy over the years. Her goal was to visit as many states as possible. She loved our Country.

Many of you know how active she was throughout her life. Always an exercise maniac (per Lin) she did not have an off button. 

Jim had a lot of beautiful homes but her favorite place was living at Lake Martin. That is where we will celebrate her life in late October or early November.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Bethany Hospice House, Auburn, Al in her memory.
