Lula Marie (Bender) Mitchell

Lula Mitchell was born March 25, 1955 in Dallas County to the late Mr. James Matthew Bender and Sis. Polly Pierce Bender.  She entered into her eternal resting place on Sunday November 21, 2021 at  UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Lula worked at  Vaughn Regional Medical Center for over 30 yrs.

She leaves a lifetime of memories and a legacy to be cherished by her devoted husband James Mitchell Jr., Valley Grande, Alabama a dedicated and devoted daughter LaSonya Mitchell, Valley Grande, Alabama. Four bonus blessings.  Cassius (Eliza) Callens, Shelia (Kosefeski) Brooks, Michael Greene all of Valley Grande Ala, and Shawanda Surles of Montgomery, Al.   Two granddaughters Yakira Mitchell and Skylar Mitchell both of Valley Grande, Alabama.  Three Sisters:  Linda (William) Groce of Cleveland, OH; Clementine (Charlie) Odom of Fort Lauderdale Fl; Vera (Donald) Morrow of Cedar Hill, Texas. One brother, James (Brenda) Tyus of Selma, Alabama. Two aunts: Mrs. Doris Smith of Birmingham, Al; Mrs. Sallie Pearl Crenshaw of Detroit, Michigan. Five sisters in love. Doris Mitchell, Betty Moore, Lola Rogers, and Rosanna Moore  all of Selma, Ala.  A host of nieces, nephew, cousinsand friends. Special  lifetime friends  Mrs. Ophelia Cunningham of Wayne Michigan and  Mrs. Lillie Venter Johnson of Boston, Massachusetts.  A honorary and loyal blessing whom she loved and called son Mr. Jessie Dickerson
