The late Rodney Demond Harrell, was born on November 28, 1981 to Mr. Joe Randy Harrell, Sr. and to the late Mrs. Connie Belinda Jackson Harrell at Russell Hospital in Alexander City, Alabama. He was the fourth of five children. He was nurtured in the Word of God as a young child under the covering of the late Overseer Elder Marvin Smith, Jr. at O Street A.O.H. Church of God. Rodney attended Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL where he was in the graduating class of 2000. In 2002 Rodney relocated and made Atlanta, GA his new home. He worked diligently in law enforcement since 2007 and was respected and adored by his co-workers. Rodney had a special love for health and fitness. He became a professional bodybuilder in July 20, 2013. He has won many competitions and accolades throughout the years. Rodney departed this life on April 30, 2020 at Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Belinda Jackson Harrell. He leaves to cherish her memories: his father, Joe Randy Harrell, Sr. of Alexander City, AL; his fiancée, Devrie Hobson of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Albert Lamont Slaughter (Jennifer) of Wetumpka, AL, and Joe Randy Harrell and Maurice Tremaine Harrell both of Alexander City, AL; one sister, Yvonne Renee Harrell-Thomas (Stanglais) of Alexander City, AL; four nephews, Jordan Lamont Slaughter of Auburn, AL, Joe Randy Harrell, III and Tye Harrell both of Alexander City, AL; two nieces, Kaleshia Renae Harrell and Jen’Niya Belaysia Harrell both of Alexander City, AL; and a great nephew, Kayden Jordan Slaughter of Alexander City, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church family co-workers and friends.
