Obituary

Sister Ruby Lorraine Maxwell was born October 6, 1933 to the late Adele and Ruby McGhee in Coosa County, AL. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jake Maxwell Jr. on June 7, 1952. To this union five children were born. She found God at an early age.

 

She was a faithful member at Elam #2 Baptist Church until she could no longer attend. Sis. Ruby Lorraine Maxwell departed this life on June 26, 2022 at Russell Medical Center.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory: five children, Clifford Maxwell, Benjamin Maxwell (May), Stanley Maxwell, Wilbur Maxwell, and Dean Maxwell all of Kellyton, AL; six sisters, Jean Cox (Earl) of Atlanta, GA, Joyce Marbury, Doris Smoot and  Alice Barnes (Sam) all of Kellyton, AL, Sara Fletcher (Tommie) of New York and Cheryl Walker of Michigan; one brother, Edward McGhee of Alexander City, AL; four sisters-in-law, Annie Flowers and Bobbie London both of Michigan, Ethel Lee Marbury of Birmingham, AL and M. Lannie Wyckoff of Kellyton, AL; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
