Mrs. Shirley Ann Crayton was born on August 2, 1954, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, to the late Mr. RM Crayton, Sr., and the late Mrs. Lessie Mae Foster Crayton. She departed this life on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Lake Martin Community Hospital in Dadeville, Alabama. At an early age, she joined Jones Chapel Methodist Church in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama. She worked for many years at Camp Assoa in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama. “Ann,” as she was affectionately called, was a loving, kind, giving person. She was always telling everyone to do the right thing. She loved her family and would share anything she had. Her kitchen was the welcoming place at her home. She had a special way of making everyone fell welcome. She loved her children, but she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren no matter how tired she was. She never said no. Ann was one of a kind, our angel here on earth. Cooking was a special gift of hers and she enjoyed it. She was blessed to share the last 25 years of her life with her husband, Mr. Jeffie Heard.
